My family car

- Circa 1937-1940: Dad is sitting in front of the family car, a 1933
ET Special Six
- The Serial Number is stamped on a Hudson Motor Car Company plate,
the radiator and trunk rack emblem say "Essex SIX"
- and the hubcaps and dashboard say Terraplane 6. Grandpa
purchased this car about 1935 using a war bonus he received from WW1.

| Circa 1940s I asked my Aunt why the photographer did not wait for the young girl to
get out of the way of the picture. My Aunt's response implied that the little girl
was the subject in the picture, not the car. According to my Uncle's memory Grandpa
was advertising the D&RGW RR company baseball team. What is the Team's
name? I believe the door says
- Rio Grande
- ???????????'s
- Appreciation
- Week
- July ??-25

1964 shortly before the engine was
disassembled In 1964 Grandpa gave the car to Dad. Dad
took a picture of car when we arrived home from towing it from Helper. In 1964 Dad
licensed the car and had it inspected. He drove the car a couple of times and then
tore the engine apart to paint it. Dad passed away in 1987, never having reassembled
the engine.

the upper left windshield, the 1964 safety inspection sticker is in the lower right side
of the windshield.
